Bernie Lubbers

Known as “The Whiskey Professor” Bernie Lubbers has been a part of the Renaissance & Revival of Kentucky Bourbon Whiskey.Starting in 2005, and joining The Family Owned and Operated Heaven Hill Distillery in 2012 alongside the Legendary Parker Beam, Bernie serves in the role as Global Whiskey Ambassador.Bernie represents iconic brands such as Elijah Craig, Larceny, Evan Williams, Rittenhouse Rye, and Old Fitzgerald.

Traveling Millions of Miles across the country and the world, heshares his knowledge and passion of the history, heritage, production, and maturation of America’s Native Spirit and often brings the stories and the history of Kentucky Whiskey to life by playing live Kentucky Music with his own Bluegrass Band, “The Bottled In Bond Boys.”

Bernie is also the author of the Best Selling Book entitled, “Bourbon Whiskey, Our Native Spirit”

He was named Whisky Magazine’s Whiskey Ambassador of the Year named as an “Icons Of Whiskey” in 2009, 2012, and 2016.

Recognized by prominent Writer/Author Fred Minnick he emphatically states that Bernie is “The person that single handedly brought Bottled In Bond whiskey back to the forefront.”
